Merry Christmas to All & a Festive Season

Tuesday December 14th.

As you know, I am embarking on an African journey of epic proportions. Eight countries, 54 days and who knows how many kilometres!? I hope to see a vast and varied amount of wildlife and to witness lots of different aspects of the various African cultures, as well as explore the landforms and forests of the continent.

I have no idea how often I will have access to wi-fi or the internet. I'm sure it will be sporatic at best, so I'd like to take this opportunity to wish all of you, my immediate family, friends, Lescon family, and fellow travellers, the very best of the season, and a very Happy New Years. I have not actually done the calculations to figure out where I will be on either of those days, but I do know it will be very different from my normal celebrations!

I provided the web link to the trip's intinerary for those of you who are interested in following along. Please continue to write to me, even if you don't hear from me for a bit, as I love to get your notes, news and thoughts. I will continue to write the blog in wordprocessing form and post it as soon as opportunity provides.

So whatever you do over the holidays, I hope it's a happy and safe time. Enjoy!! I will miss you all.

  11. I remember sitting at a table outside that shopping centre, which has a beautiful view of Table Mountain and Lion's Head. I'm glad you were able to visit there several times. Glad you thoroughly enjoyed Cape Town...truly one of the most beautiful places to visit. Have fun on your African tour/safari!!!
