Buenos Aires

Monday November 15th.

Woke up with the sunrise and found myself in a very flat and agricultural area. Lots of cattle too. Arrived in Buenos Aires about eleven and caught a taxi to my hostel. I had prebooked it on a recommendation from Valerie (from the Galapagos tour). Glad I did, as it's full. It has excellent wifi!

Spent the next few hours uploading photos for all the posts that I had written in the last few days. While doing that I met Ella, from England. She's been here for ten days and was heading back to England the next day. She told me a few things to do and together we went for a walk to the main square, Plaza de Mayo and an antique market area. She recommended a walking historical tour of the city that I'll do tomorrow.

Back to the hostel area for dinner and then we heard about a few people who were going to go to a live drumming concert called La Bomba De Tiempo. Took the subway there. Bit grubby, but cost all of the equivilent of thirty cents!! When I got there, I met Simon and James from England who were on my Bolivian desert trip!

The concert was good. There were fourteen drummers and they played for two hours. The audience was all young, smoking cigarettes, drinking and smoking weed. They were mostly tourists from all over the world.

Back to the hostel by eleven and climbed into my skinny top bunk with three others in the room.
