March Break 2004.
Danny was eighteen and in grade 12 when we flew south to Peurto Plata in the Dominican Republic for March Break. We left our home to the three foreign students we had at the time. We had a good time hanging out and enjoying the warm weather after a winter in Toronto.

We did the usual resort activities, swimming, snorkeling, pool volleyball, and sunning. Unfortunately, Danny got a bad sunburn one day and had to stay indoors to cool it off for a day. We went on an overland safari around the island visiting the local villages and trying to find native wild life.

We took a trip to a coral cay where we snorkeled. The fish there were incredible and we saw many species of fish and coral. At one point both of us were surprised to see a woman snorkeler swimming towards us topless. Shocked Danny and made for an interesting swim.

We made friends with a family from Sweden. I hung out with the parents and Danny spent time with the son and daughter.
