After retiring from teaching in June, selling my house in April, and emptying it in October, putting my scaled down possessions in storage, I am finally embarking on the trip of a lifetime. My English friend John and I are flying to Montevideo, Uruguay on the 18th and will board the GAdventures ship Expedition on the 22nd for a three week tour of the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, the South Shetland Islands, the Antarctica Peninsula, ending in Ushuaia, Argentina. Then we will join another group and spend a week exploring Patagonia.
