Malaga, the Costa del Sol

Wednesday, September 6th.
I was up and ready by 7:00. John took me to the train station to catch the train to Gatwick. I took a national railway train from Great Missenden to Marlyborne Station, where I caught the underground to and then the Victoria Line to Victoria Station where I took another National Railway train to Gatwick airport. In total the ticket cost 31.40 pounds. It was all easy and fast and I arrived with lots of time for check in. I wandered around the airport looking without success for another book before the flight. The flight was about two and half hours and I went forward another time zone.

When I arrived I took a taxi for 27 Euros to my small boutique hotel. I went up to the room and got changed into cooler clothes and then walked the two blocks to the local beach. This is a black sand beach with lots of local people and few tourists. I wandered around watching the families with their kids and enjoy the sunny, warm 78 degree weather. I went for a swim. The Mediterranean was nice and warm. I hung around until sunset and then went to back to the hotel to ask where there was a supermarket. I bought some granola bars, yogurt and fruit for dinner. The rest of the night was on the computer.
