Instead of mailing out cards I am sending out this email to all of my friends that I have sadly been unable to see for most of this year. This has been a very upsetting year in so many ways for so many people all around the world. But at this time of year, as we all try to celebrate Christmas as best we can, and reflect on the year past and look forward to a hopefully rosier future and a safer 2021, I'd like you to know that I think about you often and hope that all is well with you, your family, your bubble and all who you care about.I am well, as is my family. Thankfully, so far, the virus has had no health effects on anyone that I know of and I sincerely hope it stays that way.I spent most of the summer at our family cottage where life seemed beautiful and supremely safe. Since cottage season ended, and the bicycles and motorcycle have been put away, I have been keeping busy, the same as most of you, with reading, watching Netflix, listening to music and trying to stay active. I have walked lots and played pickleball outdoors with a small group of new friends almost everyday for two + hours. Yes, we have even shovelled the court a couple of times.Take care of yourself, stay safe and healthy and I really hope that the vaccines roll out quickly, are effective and that we can return to some sort of normalcy after that. As soon as that happens I will make an effort to see everyone! All the best for tomorrow and the new year!Cheers, Joe, the temporarily waylaid nomadicjoe
