Terri and I booked another resort, this time in Panama. I tried to connect with one of my foreign students who lives in Panama, but unfortunately it didn't work.
We had another great week in the sun, enjoying the beach and snorkelling. We went on a couple of tours: 1) of the Panama Canal; 2) Panama City; and 3) into the rainforest.
It was interesting learning of the history of the canal and the problems they had digging it. Malaria took a huge toll on the workers, and eventually resulted in a treatment.
The jungle tour was great as we saw monkeys, igaunas, crocodiles and lots of birds. We had a chance to paddle a canoe through the wetlands. And of course, ziplining was fun.
